FAQ

Compressor Selection and Technical Specifications

Which type of compressor is most suitable for me if I am looking for energy efficiency with variable air demand?

We recommend variable speed (inverter-driven) screw compressors. They automatically regulate motor speed according to the actual compressed air demand. This leads to significant electricity savings, especially in production environments with uneven load.

How do high-efficiency variable speed screw compressors differ from standard variable speed models?

High-efficiency variable speed screw compressors are designed with more advanced components - for example, motors with a higher efficiency class (IE3/IE4), optimized hydraulics, and reduced friction losses. They provide 10-15% lower electricity consumption across a wide operating range compared to standard variable speed compressors.

What applications are low-pressure screw compressors suitable for?

Low-pressure screw compressors are specifically designed for processes that require high compressed air volume at low pressure (typically up to 3-5 bar). Examples include aeration in wastewater treatment plants, pneumatic conveying of light materials (grain, flour), flotation machines, and cooling of textile lines. They are more efficient than a standard compressor reduced with a pressure reducer.

When is it reasonable to invest in a two-stage screw compressor instead of a single-stage one?

Two-stage screw compressors are the best choice for applications with consistently high pressure (7-13 bar) and high flow demand. Two-stage compression reduces temperature between stages and requires significantly less energy (15-20% savings). We recommend them for 24/7 production environments automotive manufacturing, glass industry, and heavy mining operations.

Can variable speed compressors be used under constantly high load?

Yes, but if the load is completely constant (100% of the time at maximum power), in some cases a two-stage compressor without variable speed control may be more cost-effective as an initial investment. For any variable load, however, the variable speed option (especially the high-efficiency version) offers superior economic return.

What maintenance do these compressors require?

All offered models are screw compressors, which means fewer moving parts compared to piston compressors. Basic maintenance includes:

  • Oil and oil filter replacement every 2000-4000 hours (depending on the model)
  • Replacement of air filter and separator (oil separator)
  • For variable speed models - periodic inspection of inverter cooling

It is mandatory to follow the service schedule described in the operating manual.

Do you offer a warranty and the option to test before purchase?

Yes, all compressors are supplied with a standard factory warranty (typically 24 months). Upon request, we can arrange on-site testing or prepare an energy savings calculation so you can compare different types (variable speed vs. two-stage, standard vs. high-efficiency).

How do I choose the correct size (power/flow) for my production?

Contact us through the contact form or by phone. We will help you calculate:

  • Minimum and maximum compressed air demand (l/min or m³/min)
  • Operating pressure (bar)
  • Operating regime (hours per day, load variability)

Based on this data, we will recommend the most cost-effective option - variable speed, high-efficiency, low-pressure, or two-stage.

Service and Maintenance

Do you offer service contracts and what do they include?

Yes, we offer several levels of service contracts:

Contract Type

What It Includes

Minimum

Scheduled maintenance with original consumables (oil, filters, separator)

Standard

Scheduled maintenance + inverter inspection + pressure calibration

Full

Everything in Standard + 24/7 phone support + priority emergency service + energy efficiency report

Service contracts include remote monitoring for variable speed models - we receive a signal when maintenance is approaching or if an issue occurs.

What happens if the compressor breaks down outside working hours (night shift or weekend)?

For all variable speed and high-efficiency models, we offer:

  • 24/7 emergency phone support (with full service contract)
  • Remote diagnostic access - we access the controller remotely and in most cases resolve the issue (e.g. resetting an error, adjusting a parameter) without visiting the site
  • If physical intervention is required - a service technician arrives within 4-8 hours (depending on location)

For two-stage compressors, we usually keep spare parts in stock, as they are often used in critical production environments (where the line cannot stop).

Do you provide training for our staff for basic maintenance?

All our compressors (except the smallest economy models) have a built-in controller with display showing:

  • Remaining hours until next oil/filter replacement
  • Current outlet temperature
  • Real-time pressure and flow
  • Number of start/stop cycles (important for variable speed models)

For high-efficiency variable speed and two-stage models, we also offer an IoT module that sends data to our cloud. You receive a weekly report by email, and we automatically notify you when maintenance is required or when a parameter goes out of range.

How is compressor condition monitored between service intervals?

Yes, when purchasing two or more compressors (or one large two-stage model), we provide free 4-hour on-site training at your production facility. It includes:

  • How to safely replace the air filter
  • How to recognize signs of a problem (unusual noise, vibration, smell)
  • How to reset the service timer after technician intervention
  • When to stop the compressor and call service (emergency situations)

For variable speed models, we also provide a short instruction for checking the inverter cooling fan.

Payment Methods

What payment methods do you offer for purchasing a compressor?

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Bank transfer (invoice) - the most common option for companies. We issue an invoice with a 7- or 14-day payment term (subject to credit assessment)
  • 100% advance payment - for first-time clients or fast delivery without credit check
  • Credit / debit card - Visa, Mastercard, Borica (up to certain amounts)
  • Cash on delivery - only for spare parts and consumables, not for complete compressors
  • Leasing / Financing - recommended for expensive models (high-efficiency variable speed and two-stage)
